To ensure your child is placed in a class that best suits their needs and ablility, we provide a FREE assessment for every child over 3 years of age.
How long are the lessons?
Babies (wonder) classes up to Active level 4 are a 30 minute class. Active level 5 and up are 45 minute classes. Squad lessons vary see the squad page for further details.
What happens if I miss a lesson?
Goodlife is happy to offer you one make-up lesson per term, if you advise us at least 24 hours prior to your lesson. Ideally call the centre and leave a message with reception. All make-up lessons must be used by the end of term. If you miss more than one lesson we are happy to offer a family swim pass (entry to the pool for 2 adults and 2 children), these are valid for 6 months and may be used during our public swimming times. We will only offer credits for serious ongoing medical conditions, with the presentation of a medical certificate. We do not offer refunds for change of circumstance.
What happens if there is a storm?
We follow Royal Lifesaving Guidelines and classes are cancelled if there is an electrical storm at Goodlife with serious risk or lightening in the area. Classes resume 30 minutes after the last strike of lightening in the area. If we cancel classes you will be notified by sms message to your nominated mobile number. In the event that a class is cancelled, a makeup lesson or swim pass will be offered. We are unable to offer credits or refunds.
Can my child swim before and/or after their lesson?
Children are able to swim in the outdoor pool before or after their lesson, during public swimming times. We do ask that they try to refrain from swimming before their lesson to save their energy for the class. We are unable to offer use of the indoor pool.
What do we need to bring?
It is highly recommended that parents/carers in baby (wonder) classes wear a t-shirt in the pool. Children are taught to reach out independently and grab; wearing loose clothing makes this much easier. Children under the age of 3 years are required to wear a swim nappy in the pool at all times. Goggles and cap are recommended for children 3 years and up. During safety week children are asked to bring clothes to swim in and to swim without goggles.
Do you have change facilities?
We have beautiful new facilities for both the indoor and outdoor pool areas that include heated showers and toilets.
Do you swim all year around?
Our classes are held during state school terms, with intensives offered during selected school holidays.
Do you have intensives?
Yes, we do offer intensives classes. They are normally held for one week during September and January school holidays. Please call the centre for further details closer to the date.
What is Bubble Babies?
Bubble Babies is an informal in-water session for infants and children from ten weeks of age, aimed at introducing water awareness and familiarisation in a tranquil and stress-free environment. Our highly skilled Swim Australia qualified teacher will be on hand to answer your aquatic related questions and demonstrate water activities for you to practice at home. These sessions are more casual, rather than a class. Bookings are not necessary; you can come casually as you are able. The group size is larger than classes but numbers are limited.
Do you offer individual/private lessons?
We offer private lessons on request. Please call the swim school or contact us via the contact form below for further details.
