After encountering God’s power & kindness, I met Jesus near the end of my first year at the Uni of WA in 1993. Talk about a crossroads! I started dating Nic shortly after, a love-interest which hasn’t stopped for a few decades since. But before all that I grew up in a non-Christian environment, & because of that my heart breaks for those who don’t know the peace of following Jesus. I love being a wife & Mum, doing-life with mates, & being on adventures as a family. I have a suspicion that our best moments might be appreciated long after they’re lived. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed working as a musician, a teacher, a missionary, a business owner, & as a pastor. I love to make music, read good books, host people in our home, & shepherd & mentor people. I also love diving into the Word & watching the Spirit transform lives. I’ve been dragged by God (& Nic) into more uncomfortable places than I care to remember – whether preaching, traveling the globe, or even just loving-on those whose worldview is different to mine. I have a hankering for a backyard beehive & still think Nic should give kale a chance.

Mike is the Founder of Network Communications and the Australian Christian Channel. He has a real desire to serve others, which he does through several Board roles, the largest of which is Compassion International. Mike has been part of the Goodlife Executive since its inception 1988.

10,000 days ago, and 4,000 kays away, I was just another country bumpkin covered in mud & full of dreams, driving around on a cattle & sheep farm in country West Oz. Wow, it’s been a wild ride since then! I’ve been partnered with the love of my life V since 1993, & with supa-groms Mo, Tino & Evey for long enough to know that being a dad is more awesome – & far more exacting – than I ever could've dreamed. After adventuring for a few decades in numerous places on the East Coast & abroad, we came to be part of Goodlife in mid 2025 – and are stoked! Since I decided to follow Jesus in 1984, I’ve been intrigued by the depth of God’s crazy love and also seeing how He is at work in the world. I’ve traveled to over 60 countries, had my heart filled/broken/refilled too many times to mention, learned from innumerable mentors, & along the way ended up with degrees in history & literature, law, leadership & organisational dynamics, & (my abiding passion) practical theology. I surf (badly but often), eat pizza (in V’s opinion, too much) and don’t like kale (at all). Apart from the fambam, nothing stokes me out more than shepherding God’s missionary people and conspiring together with mates to change the world. I now get to spend most of my time shepherding leaders – ‘those who’ll take on hell with a squirt gun.’ Through mates, deep-community, & (above all) God’s kindness, I’m more convinced now than ever that the only worthwhile spirituality is one with boots on, that walks.
