I need help! I have never been to a gym before.

Have a chat with one of our friendly gym trainers, they can advise you on suitable classes, alternatively book a PT session to get you started on the right foot.

Do I need to bring anything with me to the gym/classes?

Please bring your own mat for any classes that require one, we a limited number of spare mats. Please also bring a towel and water bottle.

What are the gym hours?

Monday - Friday 5.30am - 7.00pm

Saturday 7.00am - 12.00pm

What is a gym induction?

Our gym induction is your chance to get familiar with everything we have to offer. You'll receive a warm welcome as we guide you through our facility, showing you all the fantastic equipment, exercise areas, class selection and amenities. We want to make sure you feel confident using our equipment safely and effectively. It's the perfect way to kickstart your fitness journey with us!

How do I get personal training or a gym program?

You are welcome to book an appointment with a trainer for a personal training session and they can personalise a program for you. See the request a session page for details on costs.

Do you have lockers in the gym?

We have open pigeon holes, it is best to keep valuables at home.

Does my gym membership include Aqua classes?

Yes.

Does a carer for a special needs member have to pay to use the gym or do classes?

To be present and offer support where needed, NO, it doesn't cost them anything. However, if the carer would like to participate and therefore take up a place in the class, or use the facilities in the gym to train themselves, they must pay a gym entry fee. What happens if I can't use the gym because I am away, sick or injured?

If you have a medical certificate a 12 Month memberships may be extended for medical reasons at no charge for a maximum of six months, 6 month memberships for a maximum of three months and 3 month memberships for a maximum of one month, during the current membership agreement. Outside of medical reasons, 12 month memberships may be extended for a total of three months, 6 month memberships for a total of one month and 3 month memberships for a total of two weeks, each with an administration fee of $25. The processing time is up to 7 days.

Am I able to cancel my membership?

Yes, if you are a member of Goodlife Community Gym in Buderim. Requests must be done in writing by completing an extension/ cancellation form and submitting it to reception or emailed to admin@goodlife.org.au. Fees and charges may apply please click here for further details. The extension/cancellation form is available at reception or you can download a copy from the link above. Please note we are not affiliated with the chain of gyms called Goodlife Health Clubs

Am I able to transfer my membership to someone else?

Memberships may be transferred to someone else for a 10% fee of the full retail price of the membership. If the transferee is unwilling to take over remaining fees on the membership, the transfer will be void. The processing time is up to 7 days further details can be found by clicking here.

How long after a membership expires are members eligible for the renewal discount?

Up to three months. Available when renewing six or twelve month Goodlife Active membership. There is no renewal discount on Active Aqua.

Does my one month membership have a senior or student discount?

No, a concession discount is only available on our six and twelve month memberships.

Are any of the classes capped?

Yes, please refer to the back page of the timetable.

Where are the classes held?

The majority of classes are held upstairs in the function room, Bootcamp and some HIIT classes are held in the stadium. Our timetable states the rooms they are in.

Do I need to book in for any classes?

Yes, classes can be booked via the Mindbody app, instructions for how to do this are on the group fitness page of the website. Our process is to leave a couple of class spots for people who are new or unable to use the booking system. To secure one of these spots we recommend that you arrive at least 15 to 20min before the class starts. On arrival you do need to sign in for the class at reception prior to attending class. The instructor will check your name off the list before you enter the class.

Can I still come to the gym and/or classes if I am sick?

No, please do not enter Goodlife premises if you are unwell. Please note that to protect the health and safety of all our patrons, we may refuse entry and service if you are unwell.

Can I get a rebate on my gym membership from my private health care?

We are a registered business with AUSActive. Check with your health fund to see if this entitles you to a rebate.

What is included in a fitness passport membership?

A Goodlife Community Gym fitness passport membership includes Goodlife Gym Classes, except Aqua and free admission during public swimming.

How do I join with a fitness passport membership?

Present your fitness passport with a valid photo ID at reception and our friendly team will assist you.

Who can use a Family fitness passport membership?

Adults and Minors aged 14 years and over are welcome at Goodlife gym after they have completed an induction. See our minors policy on the about gym page for details
